Fire crews also urge residents to have water on hand and monitor weather conditions closely.</p> <p>Mereta VFD reminds all residents in our area:</p> <ul> <li>Check current weather and wind conditions before burning.</li> <li>Keep a charged water source nearby at all times.</li> <li>Never leave a burn unattended.</li> <li>If a fire escapes control, call 9-1-1 immediately.</li> </ul> <p>For current burn ban status, see our <a href="https://meretavfd.org/burn-ban/">Burn Ban page</a>.</p>
